Our client is a leading provider of the most comprehensive package of oilfield tubular and accessory services for the energy industry.

JOB SUMMARY:

Perform various duties in the Service Dept. to assist with handling of new and used tubing, assisting others while maintaining a clean and organized work area. Under limited direction be able to guide tubing on to spools and customer reels. Verify conformance of product consistent with Quality Tubing QA standards. Complete other duties within the department as required and/or as specified by foreman/supervisor.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Trained in operations for all spooling jobs.
  • Knowledge of equipment – Proper selection and combination of foundations, pumps and related equipment for specific jobs.
  • A general understanding of job requirements per foreman/supervisor and pre-job meeting.
  • Knowledge of tubing hook-ups to spools and reels, hydraulic hook-ups to reels and foundations, Ability to identify and communicate problems with reels, equipment, spools.
  • Operate and maintain all testing equipment associated with visual and dimensional inspection. (Mic’s)
  • Complete all QT report forms for quality assurance shipping and receiving as required.
  • Comply with ISO procedures pertaining to Inspectors
  • Demonstrate understanding of MRR procedures and documentation process.
  • Know and understand storage areas and procedures.
  • Make minor repairs to equipment, hose fittings, counters, rollers, etc.
  • Ability to identify and describe the use of all tube-to-tube and fitting welding components
  • Properly execute all procedures that pertain to used tubing and waste fluid.
  • Trained and qualified in the proper execution of all tube cutting procedures and use of cutting torch equipment.
  • Follow and lead by example all safety procedures
  • Must be qualified/trained on crane rigging
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Comply with all applicable HSE requirements as specified in Quality Tubing’s HSE Operational Requirement for Roles and Responsibilities
  • Assists with and demonstrate comprehension of safe handling of new and used tubing, prepping tools for upcoming jobs, and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Develop a general understanding of job requirements and pre-job meeting.
  • Develop and demonstrate a strong basic working knowledge of tubing hook-ups to spools and reels, hydraulic hook-ups to reels and foundations
  • Ability to identify and communicate problems with reels, equipment, spools.                Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
  • Aggressively participate in your training and development Learn and understand storage areas and procedures.
  • Will be qualified to operate forklift up to 11Kg
  • Comply with all applicable HSE requirements as specified in Quality Tubing’s HSE Operational Requirement for Roles and Responsibilities

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  

  • A B2 Counterbalance licence is essential. A B3 Counterbalance licence is desirable.
  • GCSEs and NVQ or HNC in a relevant subject and 0 to 6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10 1s and 1001 s.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
