Role Synopsis

Responsible for the management of master data within the ERP system; allowing us to proactively plan raw material supply and build schedule accordingly.  Liaising with Project Management, Supply Chain, Logistics and Production on material requirements to ensure execution excellence.

 

Key Accountabilities (includes, but not limited to the following)

  • Enter work order start and finish dates into the ERP system in line with project schedules.
  • Advise and challenge production on production build priorities in relation to material supply.
  • Manage and prioritise material requests from the Engineering Department.
  • Create new service items.
  • Conduct readiness and secondary duplication checks of items.
  • Create and maintain Works Orders ready for Production.
  • Report the completion of production BoMs.
  • Maintain the serial number database.
  • Create pick tickets for stores.
  • Maintain historic project and Service Department demand.
  • Ensure supply and on hand stock is reserved to system demands.
  • Maintain a clean and accurate parts database.
  • Build and maintain the ERP and operational processes within our client and help drive system improvements.

Qualifications

Education

Essential

  • Good standard of general education including English and Mathematics at GCSE Grade C (or equivalent).

 

Preferred

  • Should ideally possess a relevant qualification in business management/operations/planning.

 

Experience

Essential

  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Ability to prioritise/respond promptly to requests and follow written instructions/user guides.
  • Experience in material planning in a manufacturing environment.
  • Methodical, thorough, a good communicator who is well organised.
  • Good working knowledge of the Microsoft interface (Excel).

 

Preferred

  • Experience using MS Dynamics ERP system.
  • Proven track record in the Oil and Gas, or similar, industry would be advantageous.
