Our clients’ Kintore base is a global HQ and engineering centre for its wireline equipment manufacture and provides after-sales support for all intervention equipment in Europe, Africa and the CIS. The site is looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to play a pivotal role in delivering world-class engineering solutions within our global Wireline Systems and Wellhead Pressure Control Equipment team. Acting under the guidance of the Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for designing hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems using advanced CAE tools across all phases of the project lifecycle—from proposals to completion.

This role requires a strong understanding of both the technical and commercial aspects of engineering, with a focus on innovation, detail, and collaboration. You will be a key contributor to our commitment to continual improvement, driving efficiency and performance in line with our business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
-Innovate, design, and develop customised, customer-centric electrical solutions using advanced CAE tools.
-Lead and execute design projects, including cost estimates, validation, and compliance documentation, ensuring delivery within budget and to client specifications.
-Provide expert technical support across departments and regions, including on-site installation, testing, and client meetings globally.

Qualifications & Skills:
-Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering – ensures foundational knowledge and expertise.
-Relevant experience in electrical design within the oil and gas or related engineering industries – demonstrates ability to perform in a similar role.
-Proficiency in CAE tools and engineering documentation standards – required for daily tasks and project execution.
-Strong understanding of industry-specific standards, regulations, and best practices – ensures compliance and operational excellence.

Desired Qualifications:
-Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, or electromechanical systems – beneficial for optimising system design.
-Knowledge of manufacturing technologies and design for manufacturability – adds value to design efficiency.
-Previous experience in cross-functional, global engineering teams – provides relevant insights and adaptability.
