Due to continued growth and ongoing investment, our client is seeking a motivated and reliable Production Operative to join their successful pharmaceutical manufacturing operation based in Great Yarmouth.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing environment producing a diverse range of medicines and healthcare products within a highly regulated, quality-focused setting.

Working as part of the Production team, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate pharmaceutical production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), batch manufacturing records, and GMP guidelines at all times.
  • Assemble, fill, label, inspect, and package pharmaceutical products to the required quality standards.
  • Carry out routine equipment checks and report any faults or maintenance requirements.
  • Complete production documentation accurately and ensure full traceability of materials and products.
  • Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process and report any defects or deviations.
  • Assist with product changeovers, line clearances, cleaning, and sanitisation of production equipment.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness within production areas.
  • Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to achieve daily production targets.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety, hygiene, and pharmaceutical manufacturing procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Assist with stock movements and material handling in line with production requirements.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience within the pharmaceutical, medical device, food, FMCG, or other regulated manufacturing sectors would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is desirable.
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to follow written procedures accurately.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Basic computer literacy and experience completing production records.
  • Reliable, proactive, and committed to producing high-quality products.
  • Flexible approach to work with a strong focus on safety and quality.
