Forklift operator

Pay Rate: £18.00

Location: Portlethen, Aberdeen

Duration: 3 months

7am to 3:30pm – 40 hrs

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Loading offloading truck
  • loading offloading inspection lines
  • receive incoming material and complete required records
  • record serial numbers for incoming material
  • record serial numbers, work orders, running numbers, etc. for outgoing material
  • count assets and report
  • participate in on-call rota
  • perform other tasks as instructed to meet business requirements, provided the instructions are reasonable and the employee is deemed competent to perform these

 

Health, Safety and Environment

  • assist with keeping yard area clean and tidy
  • receive incoming material and complete required record
  • record serial numbers for incoming material
  • record serial numbers, work orders, running numbers, etc. for outgoing material
  • select and bundle material as per written instructions
  • count assets and report
  • participate in on-call rota
  • perform other tasks as instructed to meet business requirements, provided the instructions are reasonable and the employee is deemed competent to perform these

 

Quality

  • take responsibility for their own work
  • engage in the training provided
  • comply with the requirements of the company’s Quality Policy and Quality Management System in line with their role and the information and training they have received
  • be aware and show understanding of their reporting line and their responsibilities and authorities within their department and the company’s wider organisational structure
  • review and comply with the relevant Standard and Local Operating Procedures, Process Maps, Control / Quality Plans, Process Control Guides and other relevant documentation in line with their role and the information and training they have received
  • contribute to the development of the above systems and documents, as required
  • participate in internal and external audits, as required
  • participate in Quality Action Reporting system investigations, action planning, and follow-ups, as required

 

Qualifications:

  • Driving up to 16 tonne Forklift certificate (essential)

 

Competencies required:

  • The use of computer-based systems and applications for reporting, information retrieval, and clear business-like communications (essential)

 

Skills, training or special knowledge:

  • relevant experience
