Production Operative
job description
Job Purpose
To support the manufacturing process by performing production tasks efficiently, accurately, and safely, ensuring high-quality products are produced in line with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently according to company procedures.
Assemble, inspect, or package products to meet quality standards.
Monitor production lines and report any faults, defects, or deviations.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Assist with stock control, including handling and storing raw materials and finished products.
Complete required production records and documentation accurately.
Follow instructions from supervisors and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Competencies
Basic understanding of production or manufacturing processes.
Ability to work accurately and efficiently under supervision.
Good communication and team-working skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Flexible and willing to work different shifts if required.
Qualifications & Experience
No formal qualifications required; previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is desirable.
Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
Awareness of Health & Safety standards is an advantage.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Capable of lifting moderate weights and performing repetitive tasks.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Other Information
PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) must be worn at all times where applicable.
