Night Shift Production Team Leader

Location: Great Yarmouth
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 9:45pm – 6:00am

Overview

We are recruiting for an experienced Night Shift Production Team Leader to oversee operations on a newly established production line in Great Yarmouth. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring smooth running of the shift, maintaining quality standards, and driving team performance.

Two weeks of structured training will be provided to support the launch of the new production line and ensure full understanding of processes and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and supervising a team of production operatives during the night shift

  • Overseeing the daily running of the production line to meet output targets

  • Monitoring product quality and ensuring adherence to company standards

  • Allocating tasks and managing workflow effectively

  • Providing guidance, support, and on-the-job training to team members

  • Ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed at all times

  • Conducting start-up checks and end-of-shift handovers

  • Reporting production data, performance metrics, and any issues to senior management

  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement

Training

  • Two weeks of structured training provided

  • Ongoing leadership support and development opportunities

Requirements

  • Previous production or manufacturing experience is essential

  • Prior supervisory or team leader experience within a production environment

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to motivate and manage a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure

  • Strong understanding of health and safety procedures

  • Reliable, organised, and able to work permanent night shifts
